What you will do:

  • You will be the Product Owner for a team working on the Core Platform of the software BrightDrop customers use to operate their fleets. The Core Platform includes common application experiences (login and onboarding, roles and permissions, search), internal tools for operating our business, and architectural investments in our platform. You will be responsible for product strategy, roadmap, and goals for the Core Platform.

  • Work closely with peers in product management, design, engineering, IT, legal, service operations to understand the needs of our customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Understand key infrastructural investments in our software platform (performance, scalability, monitoring, operations efficiency, security, privacy) to articulate benefits and costs and the rationale behind prioritization decisions.

Qualifications

  • Has 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager for software, ideally with enterprise SaaS software or building platform products.

  • Experience as Product Owner in independent cross-functional agile scrum team environments (e.g. pods, two-pizza teams, squads)

  • Strong collaborator who has the ability to understand the point of view of many stakeholders and effectively prioritize when building plans and roadmaps.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Has the ability to communicate at all organizational levels. Able to explain technical concepts simply so stakeholders can understand them.

  • Driven, organized, resourceful, able to turn ambiguous problems into clear solutions

  • Startup mentality toward setting up new infrastructure, incubating products and iterating based on market feedback.

  • Bachelor's Degree, or above, in computer science or engineering related field.

  • Previous work experience as a software developer

  • Location: Based in Palo Alto, CA

The expected base compensation for this role is: (112,142 - 175,401 USD Annual). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
