Job Overview:

As a Principal UX Architect for the fleet management experience, you will be responsible for leading, creating and defining from scratch the holistic experience across our current and future commercial vehicles. This role will conceive and shape the core UX across devices -computer, tablet and mobile- for a complex set of users -delivery & fleet managers, dispatchers, safety managers, couriers and others. They will focus on core application and interaction designs in the areas of fleet configuration, fleet and delivery intelligence, route optimisation and more. You will be shaping the next wave of innovation around these product experience areas, while bringing coherence and unity to the experience spanning across platforms. The work spans many forms and exists in many contexts from in-vehicle settings all the way to cutting edge data-visualizations integrated with mapping and routing. This is about owning the design of an end-to-end experience, not just screens.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a cross-discipline design team to deliver differentiated fleet management experiences for the commercial market

  • Directly manage a small team of UX/UI designers and provide coaching guidance

  • Craft intuitive and unique user experiences around a wide array of core features

  • Design experiences that span the system that are designed for delivery all the users involved in the last-mile delivery ecosystem

  • Generate design storyboards, user journeys, sketches & concepts, user flows, wireframes, high fidelity mockups, production assets, micro-interactions & prototypes

  • Create detailed design documentation of your feature work for implementation

  • Partner with user researchers to gather consumer data, validate concepts, test prototypes & apply findings into you designs

  • Work closely with other team members including HMI, Research, Product Managers and Engineers to receive critical feedback and iterate to make the best possible product

  • Present work to the executive & leadership teams


Additional Description

Required Skills:

  • 8 years of relevant work experience in fleet management or transportation solutions

  • Experience with design leadership, creative direction, coaching & mentoring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science or equivalent

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex design challenges in order to support an informed, creative process

  • Ability to zoom out and see the bigger picture, while zooming in to rationalize and perfect the nuanced details

  • Advanced proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Figma and ProtoPie

  • Bonus points if you have a love and experience for data visualization 

  • Comfortable with high paced environments

  • Willingness to dive into projects with a blank slate & learning/listening mindset

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Able to have a spirited & articulated debate with fellow designers and cross-functional members

  • An online portfolio showcasing your design work and ethos
