Description

BrightDrop is seeking a Market Intelligence Lead to own market research and competitive intelligence across the last-mile delivery sector.

The ideal candidate is a curious, creative, and detail-oriented analyst with a track record of performing, commissioning, managing, and presenting market intelligence analysis in new or disrupted sectors on which major strategic company decisions were made. You are passionate about bringing this expertise to deliver on BrightDrop’s mission.  

In this role, you will perform primary research, coordinate with GM Competitive Intelligence and GM Market Research, commission and manage third-party research, procure commercial reports and publications to develop and maintain a thorough and accurate picture of market conditions, customers, regulations, and competitors to inform company decision making. Your work will be relied on across the company to shape new product development, develop pricing and positioning of new products, and inform a wide range of other company decisions.

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead the sourcing of qualitative and quantitative industry, market, and competitive data, regulations, and policy changes through primary research, via GM Competitive Intelligence and GM Market Research, through commissioning and managing third-party research, through procuring commercial reports and publications and through open access research.

  • Analyze and synthesize data into actionable insights and recommendations via models and frameworks for Product, Marketing, Sales Executives and other stakeholders.

  • Build and foster a network of authorities and experts who you can consult.

  • Manage third party research and intelligence projects tracking spend and ROI.

  • Design and maintain the company’s market intelligence resources and repositories.

  • Collaborate across functions to ensure business and strategy recommendations are grounded in an understanding of the market trends and landscape.

Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of market focused product management or strategy experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Marketing, Economics, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong financial and economic modeling skills.

  • Curiosity and a scientific mindset.

  • Outstanding oral, written, and visual communication for technical & non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated experience successfully operating with high autonomy in fast-paced, complex, and fluid environments.

  • Strong relationship building skills including the ability to relate and work cross functionally and across all levels of an organization.

  • The ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The expected base compensation for this role is: (90,223 - 144,123 USD Annual). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
