About the role:
BrightDrop is looking for a data-obsessed Head of Analytics to set the standard on analytical thinking for our company, using analytics to make better decisions for our products, helping to incorporate meaningful insights into storytelling. We provide high-value, actionable insights to our customers through our innovative products. As the Head of Analytics, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to establish the analytics platform and team that will power this core capability.
Experimentation and a scientific approach are at the core of what you do. You are a leader with extensive experience with analytics tools and techniques, using them to make impactful recommendations across the company. You will have influence across multiple functions like Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and will build your team to champion a data-driven mindset across the company.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Head of Analytics will support the entire BrightDrop product portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing a vision and roadmap for analytics
- Analyzing highly complex/large scale data and translating into clear, actionable insights
- Delivering effective presentations of findings to cross-functional leaders, creating high impact visuals of quantitative information
- Developing and automating reports, iteratively building and prototyping dashboards to provide insights
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs
- Formulating and completing end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, and ongoing communications
- Training and mentoring product managers and other partners in rigorous analytical thinking
- Owning relationships with executive stakeholders
Additional Description
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Data Sciences
-
10+ years of relevant experience in an analytical function
-
3+ years of direct people management experience
-
Experience working with statistical packages and data tools (ex: SQL, R, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, Python, etc.)

Standout problem-solving skills and excellent business judgment
-
Deep interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis and trends and applied knowledge of measurement, statistics and machine learning

Capable of translating analysis results into actionable business recommendations

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Strong attention to detail, love for establishing clarity in ambiguity and bias to action

Work experience in a hardware and software space a plus
The expected base compensation for this role is: (178,080 - 263,000 USD Annual). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
