About the Team and Role

The Engineering Operations team is responsible for the alignment and execution of engineering programs, initiatives, and deliverables across our multiple teams, projects, and partners.   This team will play a critical role in driving the engineering organization to achieve a high level of operational efficiency, agility, and adaptability. 

As an Engineering Software Scrum Master/ Technical Project Manager, you will work with software team members to build tools, products and solutions that meet the needs of our customers and our company. You will also work with our internal, cross-functional teams from product management, and procurement in a fast-paced, business, technology, and operations environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Agile activities, including sprint planning sessions, sprint goal reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint demo and closeout sessions
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Development Leads and Managers to ensure the release and sprint backlogs are groomed and ready for development
  • Include cross-functional team members in sprints to ensure deliverables and receivables have visibility and a holistic sense of team timely accountability
  • Drive resolution of all roadblocks in a timely manner
  • Track and report metrics across sprints and release cycles
  • Collaborate with team members to improve sizing estimates and improve overall performance and productivity
  • Help build a culture of continuous improvement and simplification, constant communication and collaboration, and personal accountability
  • Proactively coach other Scrum Masters to improve their skills

Additional Description

Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience as a software Scrum Master for engineering software teams within a technology company
  • Demonstrated competency in resolving program conflicts, mitigating risks, and driving to resolutions using
  • Experience handling bug triaging and sustaining in an Agile development environment
  • Data-driven analysis skills for measuring and managing delivery
  • Experience adapting to Agile various tools
  • Well-organized with respect to taking/posting meeting notes, assigning and driving closure of action items, tracking and driving risk mitigation and deliverables from engineering and cross-functional teams
  • Able to confidently handle fast-paced environments while remaining detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proven organizational, time management, planning and prioritization skills
  • Tech-savvy and open to learning new things
  • Comfortable working with teams in rapidly changing environments
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent degree or experience
  • Scrum Master certification is a plus
  • Direct experience managing projects that interface or require co-development with external 3rd party stakeholders is a plus
  • Experience working with software teams to improve adaptations of the Agile methodology is a plus
  • Experience with DevOps cloud environments and tools is a plus
