About The Team …
BrightDrop User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of Software Designers, Researchers, Writers, HCI and Human Factors experts, Creative Technologists, and Industrial Designers. Our goal is to design and build the most relevant and  delightful products we possibly can.


About You …
You have a rare combination of creative vision and capacity to push the boundaries of what digital and/or hardware technologies can do. You love greenfield challenges. As a Creative Technologist on the user experience team, you'll merge the roles of design and engineering, exploring cutting edge technologies to bring the most innovative creative concepts to life. You will need a passion for both design and technical skills.   

The ideal candidate has previous experience working in an agency and/or internal creative departments with a focus on digital and/or hardware innovation.

What You Will Do …

  • Driving innovation of new technologies to create never seen before experiences.

  • Build prototypes to demonstrate what’s possible.

  • Demonstrate and test prototypes and completed applications.

  • Stay current on emerging technologies and design trends - research and make informed recommendations on what to explore.

  •  Clearly communicating project status, risks and challenges.

  • Brainstorm concepts with the design team.


Additional Description

We Are Looking For …

  • Experience in creating and prototyping forward-thinking concepts.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, design, interaction design, information technology, or similar.

  • A minimum of 2 years experience as a creative technologist.

  • Demonstrable industry knowledge.

  • Advanced proficiency in dynamic languages, web frameworks, and multiple APIs..

  • Exceptional ability to lead technological innovation.

  • Ability to operate autonomously as an early member of the hardware product design team. Experience mentoring junior designers.

  • A nimble, iterative, hands-on approach to problem solving and product definition. 

  • A university degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related design or engineering discipline

  • Great to also have:

    • Experience in delivery, autonomy, or mobility domains.

    • Experience designing physical products for rugged environments.

    • Experience working in an agile environment – agency or start-up background is helpful.

The expected base compensation for this role is: (90,223 - 144,123 USD Annual). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
