BrightDrop is currently recruiting a motivated and self-driven Advanced Manufacturing Analyst. The Advanced Manufacturing Analyst will help develop advanced manufacturing studies for new product introductions and global expansions.

Located in Palo Alto, the advanced manufacturing analyst will work closely with cross functional teams to understand the manufacturing needs of Brightdrop. They will develop analytics, complete studies on new manufacturing facilities,  technologies, facility construction upgrades, capital planning, global expansion and footprint, present business case to manufacturing leadership. In addition, the advance manufacturing analyst is responsible for new product manufacturing needs.

The work involves a considerable amount of initiative in decision making and is accompanied by a high level of independent judgment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete advanced manufacturing studies for new product categories and technologies
  • Complete analysis for new market growth opportunities – Global Manufacturing Footprint
  • Investigate future manufacturing technologies applicable to BrightDrop products
  • Develop and/or improve the standard manufacturing processes at BrightDrop
  • Assist with operational budget planning and proposal submissions
  • Lead cross functional continuous improvement process meetings using manufacturing analytics
  • Lead all projects / initiatives that fall outside discreet ZEVO/Trace programs

Additional Responsibilities:

  • You will interact on a regular basis with design, product, and manufacturing engineering staffs within BrightDrop to support manufacturing needs
  • You will evaluate or monitor budget and expenditures for processes and/or equipment
  • Assist in creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures associated with BrightDrop Workplace Safety Systems

Additional Description


  • BA or BS Degree (bachelor’s in engineering preferred)
  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing or hardware startup environment
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results
  • Experience working in a start-up environment and able to deal with ambiguity
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships
  • Strong ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results
